membersFORUM FIRST-CLASS QTLS WORKBOOKS Twelve candidates have been commended by SET for their QTLS workbooks, submitted in February 2017. SET reviewers and lead moderators judged that they had produced workbooks of an exceptional standard. They demonstrated high levels of critical refl ection that had clearly led to improvements in their practice, with their evidence explicitly referencing the Professional Standards. The commendations are awarded to: Julia Childs, Sue Dew-Gosling, Talwyn Dunbar, Claire Holmes, Sian Humphrey, Calvin Maye, Paul Mullens Jnr, Abigail Pannozzo, Dawn Storke, Nathan Sydenham, Adele Taylor and Samantha Ziegenfuss. Dave fi rst trained as a maths teacher, before becoming senior mentoring co-ordinator for trainee teachers at a sixth form college. It was during this time that Dave began working closely with Sheffi eld Hallam University, and he eventually got a job there.
