When mindful, we really participate in our moment-to-moment experiences—feeling them, enjoying them, or learning from them. Practicing mindfulness moves us in the direction of greater selfawareness, which allows us the power of choice and to get the most out of our life day to day. To summarize, there are two important ways to build consciousness and move us along on the path of self-awareness.
