best place to watch the games.”
Somerset’s Buffalo Wings and
Rings is located on South U.S. 27,
between lights 22 and 23.
The restaurant – a family restau-
rant rather than a sports bar, Muse
points out – hosts 40 big screen
televisions which, particularly for
March Madness, will be carrying
every single game going on. All a
spectator has to do is turn their
heads from one screen to another
to another to keep up with all the
action.
The restaurant will be running
drinks specials for March Madness,
including $1.75 domestic drafts and
$3 margaritas, Muse said.
Of course, depending on the date
and time of day, the restaurant will
offer food specials throughout the
tournament.
Muse said a lot of people like to
take their family and friends out to
restaurants because of the conve-
nience. “We do all of the cooking for
them. And there’s no cleanup,” he
said.
“Between the food and the atmo-
sphere, we offer an experience that

you can’t get from home,” he added.
Should you want to host a party
within your own home, however,
and don’t want to be responsible
for all the cooking, Buffalo Wings
and Rings also has catering options.
They even have limited delivery
available as long as the order meets
certain criteria, like having a $100
minimum order and paying a deliv-
ery fee.
For either delivery or pickup,
folks can call in an order or order
online from the website. Muse said
large orders made online need to be
given about a three-hour advance
time upon checkout. Orders taken
by phone can be made faster.
Of course, its still possible to
make your own food and beverages
at home. Some of the more inven-
tive ideas are to use icing to dress
up Nutter Butters as referees or
mixing up Jello in the colors of your
favorite team.
Around here, that would most-
ly mean grabbing the Berry Blue
flavor, as most Pulaskians go all-in
with UK. But it is – slightly – pos-
sible that party guests may not all
root for Big Blue, and a host may
want to go with more neutral party
colors.
Most March Madness party ex-
perts suggest going with the colors
of a basketball rather than specific
teams. That means going with or-
ange, black and white.
Websites are out there that give
even more advice, such as setting
food and drinks out in a specific
area away from the television,
partly so that the ruckus of filling a
plate doesn’t bother those watch-
ing but also to give people a social
area to talk without distracting the
viewers.
Another idea is to set out a cooler
to hold bottled or canned beverag-
es to save space in the fridge and to
keep them handy should the ones
watching the game not want to trav-
el far for a brew.
And what is a good way to get
guests to help you keep things tidy?
Several websites suggest putting up
a basketball hoop over your trash-
can and giving guests extra treats
(maybe basketball-shaped cake
pops) for every basket made.
