THE UPS AND DOWNS OF MY
SENIOR YEAR
JOSH THOMAS Southwestern High School Senior
Southwestern High School senior Josh Thomas writes about his
tumultuous senior year of high school. From enjoying his final year of
high school to coming down with the COVID-19 virus to being
awarded the prestigious Brown Fellows Scholarship.
MAKING THE MOST OF MY SENIOR YEAR
I went into my senior year with anticipation and
excitement. I made a conscience effort to enjoy every
minute of it because I knew it would fly by quickly. It’s
the last year my friends and I would all be together, so
I rode the wave of my senior year and went full out on
everything.
I went to the dances, the games, and hung out with
my friends. I appreciated the little things knowing it
would all come to an end this year. My friends and
I relish the fun and competition of SWHS sports.
You could easily spot us at all of the boys and girls
basketball games, cheering and strongly voicing our
opinions to the refs. There was an incredible amount of
energy at every game.
