Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital
moving forward from pandemic

In the first days of the
coronavirus pandemic,
Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital rushed
to expand telehealth
services and procure
enough personal protective
equipment (PPE) for staff
as non-emergent procedures
had to be postponed.
During the period of
full restrictions, hospitals
lost an estimated half of
emergency department
volume, two-thirds to
75 percent of outpatient
volume and 40-50 percent
of inpatient volume.
