“The waiting room, game room, and
movie rooms are closed as we are
encouraging patients to wait in their
cars to minimize people in the office,” Dr.
Prather continued.
“We are also doing a verbal Covid
screening and taking temperatures upon
entry into the building for patients and
staff.
The doors are propped open to
minimize contact points, we have the
plastic barriers in the reception area
as a barrier between patients and the
staff.”
The office is also ramping up the
amount of PPE (personal protective
equipment) used by its staff.
According to Dr. Prather, they now
wear surgical gowns, N-95 masks
(rated to capture 95 percent of
particles), and face shields. All work
areas are covered with plastic barriers
to minimize aerosol exposure to
the equipment and there are rolling
barriers between the open Bay Area
where the chairs are six feet apart.
