Manageable steps we can take towards maintaining a healthy heart
BY TIM MINTON
Traditionally, February is the
month for romantic endeavors
coming from the heart. Addition-
ally, it reminds us to take care of
our hearts during American Heart
Month.
Beginning in 1963, the annual
recognition raises awareness to
communities throughout the nation
about heart disease. It is the leading
cause of death nationwide for both
men and women—responsible for
one out of every four deaths.
