MESSAGE FROM ADANTA
Admit You’re Happy!
TRACIE R. HORTON MBA
ADANTA CEO
This year has been unlike any
we’ve ever experienced. We may
feel caught up in circumstances we
can’t control; we may not enjoy our
jobs, struggle with financial issues,
have relationship problems or just
feel lost because everything we
planned has changed. We can feel
drained emotionally and physically,
and more importantly that we
are not worthy of happiness. To
sum it up, it is harder than ever to
recognize things that bring us joy.
When we have those feelings,
it signals that is time to seek our
happiness. In fact, there is an entire
month set aside to celebrate the
things in life that make us happy.
We need those moments of joy, no
matter how small to help recharge
internally. How do we start the
recharging process? First step
- realize it’s okay to admit you’re
happy, and that being happy looks a
little different for everyone.
What does it mean to be happy?
Happiness is defined as a feeling
that comes over you when you
know life is good and you can’t help
but smile. Happiness is a sense
of well-being, joy or contentment.
When people are successful, safe, or
lucky, they tend to feel happiness.
Abraham Lincoln was famously
quoted as saying “Most folks are
as happy as they make up their
minds to be.” From brief moments
that make you smile to our most
treasured memories, there are
always times to celebrate happiness
and be grateful.
