Photo Credit: Dwayne Franklin When training others at your ICON Academy Executive Protection School, what are the five most important factors a trainee must learn in order to become a security professional. 1. “You have to be self-motivated. There’s a ton of distractions in this particular segment industry. Specifically when you’re working with celebrities, there’s a lot of lights and glamour and all those types of things.” 2. “You have to be self-disciplined, if not, you’re going to end up falling prey or a victim either because you’re going to be here, when you’re supposed to be there, and you’re going to lose your edge.” 3. “You have to be physically and mentally fit to do the job.” 4. “Loyalty is extremely important because we know all of their secrets. We spend a lot of time with these clients more so than their spouses. We see things, but we have to safe guard their secrets, not only their well-being, but their privacy. That’s important. Being loyal extends outside of that immediate relationship. Just because you’re not working with a client doesn’t mean you go out and do a tell all book because someone offers you
