Telephone Interviews

It's highly likely that you will have a telephone interview. Most companies do this to vet the profile of a candidate before they spend time to interview them face to face. This saves the company money however causes a problem to students who are studying English as a second language.

Here the main problem is that you rely soley on your ability to listen and comprehend. There are so many different styles of telephone interviews but it's worth spending 30 minutes to create more awareness and practice a basic format.

The best way to demonstrate this is in an actual phone call scenario, so I want you to imagine that you have applied for a position and the HR manager has called you on your mobile phone to set up a suitable time to interview you.
