Job Summary
The Elders Services Intern will support the Elder Services Program by assisting with daily office operations, program activities, meal services, communication efforts, and data management. This internship provides hands-on experience in administrative support, program coordination, and community engagement while contributing to services that enhance the health, wellness, and quality of life for Elders.
The intern will help staff with event planning, data entry, resource creation, supply organization, and the development of educational and social programming. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in social services, community programming, hospitality, or administrative work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform data entry and assist with communication to Elders
• Assist with Elder activities, events, and programming support
• Assist with Elder meal planning, meal preparation support, and shopping needs
• Compile data and assist in maintaining accurate program records
• Help create forms, documents, and organizational templates
• Aid in developing activities, educational materials, games, and social media content
• Assist with program research and special project development
• Help plan departmental events and activities for program implementation
• Check supply stock and assist staff with ordering materials as needed
• Create memos, correspondence, reports, and other written communication as requested
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating
• Provide general office support for the Elder Services Program
• Perform other duties as assigned
