Dr. Kate Brannum is Professor and Program Director of the International Relations
& Conflict Resolution and Middle Eastern Studies programs at American
Public University System. Kate received a B.A. in Social Science—International
Relations from Michigan State University and Ph.D. in Political Science with concentrations
in international relations, comparative politics and public administration
from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her recent research focuses
on human security and women’s health.
Dr. Nicole K. Drumhiller is Program Director for the Intelligence Studies program
at American Public University System. Nicole received a B.A. in Political
Science, B.A. in Criminal Justice, M.A. in Political Science, and Ph.D. in Political
Science from Washington State University. She serves as an editorial board member
for the Journal of Global Security and Intelligence Studies. Her recent research
focuses on radical environmental and animal rights extremism.
