Idenity theft is the fraudulent use of someone elses personally identifying information. This type of theft occurs when someone uses information like your name, Social Security number, or credit card number, in an effort to commit fraud. This type of theft is extremely serious. Most victims of identity theft spends countless hours trying to repair the damage done by the thief. Sometime the damage can be so bad that it takes years to resolve.
