Netflix and Learn
If you haven't heard, the long-awaited, internet
streaming network Netflix has finally made its way to
Hong Kong. Ella May Ho explains more.
You may be thinking, what is Netflix? Well, let's just say it's much cheaper than
a $90 movie ticket and allows you to watch an unlimited amount of TV shows
and films instead of just the one. If you've painfully spent years and
years trying to stream your favorite movies or are someone who just wants to
sit back and enjoy a personal reunion with all the old episodes of Friends, then
you'll probably want to read on.

movies, and allows you to choose whatever you want to watch when you want
to watch it. Global hit shows that you see on TVB Pearl such as How To Get

of being able to look back and rewatch an episode over and over again. You
can also watch it all in ultra HD depending on the type of plan that you are

with the language and the culture of native speakers. The majority of
teenagers and young adults today would rather watch shows and movies on
tablets, laptops and phones than on the actual TV. And now that Netflix has
hit the city, Hong Kong students and the coming generation are more likely to
join the American and British TV culture.
However, there's just one downside as it seems to be missing some of the
most popular shows like American Horror Story and House of Cards. At least
for now Netflix offers a free trial for the first month…and then it’s your
decision to either continue or cancel the membership.
So whether you’re someone who
wants to spice up your knowledge
of the English language or just
want to watch more s
