RARE SPECIES BEEN THERE, DONE THAT
BY QUINTA LIANG BY MON ZHANG ZI MENG
Maybe I am beautiful in your eyes,
But I don't know if there is a swamp in my heart.
Sludge spots splashed over.
You are afraid, it's too late to run.
If I tear off my splendid skin,
Will you scream, or hold me through the thorns?
Cover your eyes as soon as possible.
I know that we are not the same kind of people.
You can laugh, you can run;
But my feet are rooted.
The moon should be beautiful tonight.
I want to know but I can't see it.
No one can choose randomly
Out of the many species in this world.
Cheating until the last moment,
I am the worst kind.
Are you angry and afraid of me?
I can only blame you for not knowing this was me at the beginning.
Find our comfort in a walnut.
Everyone wants to find their kin.
If people can choose anyone,
A cat and I are a good match.
Just like he lives in the deserted street,
The tree by the door is the lover of his life.
Rare species like me,
Stand on a golden mountain.
You can only see me.
Never approach me.

I set off for Canada for an immersion
program, and that made me panic - a lot.
I sometimes
feel scared of
the unknown...
But probably the unpla
