In our day to day life we are often communicating be that through voice,
social media, telephones whatever, the point is, when do we ever stop
to listen to ourselves, to our surroundings, when was the last time you
became aware of your beating heart?
Walking in silence is not about being antisocial it is about allowing
yourself to think, clear your mind, tune into the sounds around you,
the natural sounds. Birds singing, trees moving in the wind, the flow of
water, the ground under your feet, your breath. All sounds lost in the
madness of day to day living. You will be amazed at how good you feel
as you walk. Stresses fall away, big problems, with the space to see
them, suddenly become much smaller. You cleanse your mind, you take
deeper breaths, and you start to feel good, really good! When you return
from a silent walk you feel wonderful, so do try it!
