visited the Gambia some years ago, but the memories of this beautiful country have remained with me, from the stunning areas of beauty, to the positive people and the diverse wildlife. I would recommend everyone to visit here at some time. Sandele is nestled in the will discover ways to get involved African forest at the edge of that, may seem small to you, miles of beautiful deserted but are often life-changing for beach, Sandele offers you others, this is a wonderful way to the tranquility of a “time understand the local culture and stands still” getaway within Gambian people. From my own the comforts of an award- personal experiences, it is the humbling experience to see the winning eco-lodge.
High quality rooms and delicious fresh cuisine are a given; the true magic of this oasis is in the quiet and relaxed atmosphere in unspoiled surroundings, with welcoming local staff and a wide range of activities to enjoy along the way. As a winner of The Guardian’s “Ethical Travel Award”, you can be satisfied that your comfort is being provided in the most sustainable way possible. Through close involvement with the nearby village of Kartong you joy that just the simplest of things in life bring people, it makes you realise that all that materialistic junk, and it is junk, is not worth anything if you have no true value for life. It was certainly part of my turning point all those years ago.

So, what can you get up to whilst you are here? I have to say this was one of the most diverse places I have visited from moments of total madness, with loads of people, colours, smells and noise to being the only two people on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!
