Thus, it is the people involved, the entities they have built and their activities,
this criminal enemy, that modern criminologists must come to know, describe,
and analyze. They must reveal this criminal anatomy and pathology to the greatest
number of people possible, but especially to the criminal lawyer, who must make
use of it on a daily basis for diagnostic and remedial purposes, in order to adapt
criminal policy to reality.
This is what, in his wisdom, Professor Mayaud understood and implemented.
