About the Author
Jean-François Gayraud is a Doctor in Law, graduate of the Paris Institute of Political
Studies (IEP) and of the Paris Institute of Criminology. A former student of the French
national police academy (ENSP), he is a Police Superintendent.
His published works include “Le monde des mafias. Géopolitique du crime organisé”
(Odile Jacob, 2005), “La grande fraude. Crime, subprimes et crises financières” (Odile
Jacob, 2011), “Le renseignement criminel” with François Farcy (CNRS éditions, 2011),
and “Géostratégie du crime” with François Thual (Odile Jacob, 2012). He has also
