These conditions worsened when opposition groups supported by the army took over Ir.Soekarno and PKI’s power. At this time, the Indonesian economic-politic landscape was marked by inflation, unstable monetary conditions, and social chaos. By the end of the 1960s, Indonesia foreign policies totally changed. With the overthrow of Ir.Soekarno, the PKI were banned and diplomacy with the PRC and other of communist states largely broken off. up By this time, the power of the New Order led by General Soeharto had been established.
