Taught master’s are usually
12 months in duration and are
made up of a series of core and
elective modules before completion
of a dissertation, research project
or consultancy project for a local
company, if offered. Postgraduate research degrees
allow you to undertake a research
project under the guidance of an
academic supervisor. Admissions
to research degrees are usually
based on the submission of a
research proposal.

Postgraduate entry requirements
Every degree will have its
own specific requirements but
postgraduate taught applicants
generally need to show evidence
that they have achieved the
equivalent of a UK undergraduate
degree at a 2.2 or above, a
postgraduate diploma or an
equivalent professional qualification.
English language entry
requirements
You will usually need IELTS 6.0-7.0
or equivalent depending on your
chosen course. If you do not meet
our English language requirements
we offer a choice of pre-sessional
English courses to help you reach
the required level.
