EMPLOYABILITY
Preparing for your career
We are committed to providing our students
with personal and professional development
opportunities, supporting them to become
as employable as possible and achieve their
career aspirations. Many of our courses offer
opportunities to complete a work placement,
an employer-led project instead of a
dissertation or to take a work related module.
The Keele Internship scheme is available for
Keele students and graduates and the Keele
Careers and Employability team will support
you to make effective applications for these
types of opportunities.
Keele graduates have gone on to work at
many organisations including: BBC, Bentley
Motors, Google, H&M, Jaguar Land Rover,
Lego, Michael Kors, MTV, NHS, Nike UK,
Premiership Rugby, Ralph Lauren, Siemens
and Sony. Several of our alumni hold
government office or diplomatic posts.

At Keele you will be able to access careers
support from our team of expert Careers
Consultants who help prepare students for
their next steps, providing tailored careers
guidance, advice and information to support
students in achieving their career plans and
developing their career management and
employment related skills. The Careers and
Employability team also includes a Careers
Consultant who specialises in supporting
international students.
You will be able to access a range of
workshops that are tailored to your
programme of study and also attend events
to meet graduate employers who visit the
campus. As a Keele student you will have
access to Keele Careers Online, a digital
resource that contains a wealth of content
related to careers and employability, you
can access it when and where you like and
use it to build your CV (Résumé), take mock
interviews, search for jobs and lots more.
You can access this support as many times
as you want and it does not stop when you
graduate, you will still be able to access it up
to three years after graduation!
Alumni play an important role in inspiring the
next generation; some generously donate
time to speak to prospective students in
their home country or donate money for
scholarships, others offer placements and
internships. We welcome all of our graduates
back to campus to speak so that our current
students can benefit from their experience
and advice.
Keele Connect is our new online platform
that offers a chance for students and fellow
alumni to connect with their peers and to
make a head start or advance their career
by connecting with thousands of Keele
graduates for advice, support and networking.
