Publisher’s Note
H
Houston is the best city in
Texas. How do I know? It’s
not just because we boast of
having the largest medical com-
plex, four multi-million-dollar
sports facilities, the Space Center,
the number one seaport in the nation in
total tonnage handled, the sixth largest airport
in the nation, and — well, I could go on and
on! Have I mentioned that Houston also has
the third largest Consular Corps in the nation?
Although these aspects are all good and should
make us proud to be Houstonians, they aren’t
the best part about Houston. The reason Hous-
ton is the best city in Texas is because of the
awesome people who live here!
Houston provides a welcoming environment
for a diverse community — a place where en-
trepreneurs, both large and small, have come to
succeed. Whether you have lived in Houston
your entire life or are just passing through, this
fascinating city will leave a lasting impression on
you.
As I’ve mentioned in many of my notes, I’m
a native Houstonian, which is a rare breed. I’d
like to believe I’m an expert when it comes to
knowing where everything is, navigating my
way around town, and finding the best the city
has to offer. However, over the past few years,
I have begun to discover just how unique this
town is. I’m finding out about new restaurants,
places to go, and things to do every day. iF you’d
like to know more about our great city, espe-
cially its international community, I recommend
that you read the only magazine in the city that
covers all of Houston’s international communi-
ties. iF you are ready to discover some hidden
gems of Houston, stay tuned.
And as always, thank you for your readership!
