Founded in Houston in 1983, FotoFest promotes international awareness of museum-quality photographic and new
media art from around the world. The first and longest running photographic arts festival in the United States, the first
FotoFest Biennial was held in 1986.
The FotoFest Biennial 2020 - Grand Opening was March 7 at Silver Street Studios and it was an inspiring night
packed with artists and art lovers from all over the world. At Serrano Gallery they had a fabulous opening for the
John Bernhard’ retrospective exhibition which will be up thru Fotofest. Serrano Gallery is a 2020 Participant Space
@johnbernhard @bonillart. John Bernhard is also the Honorary Consul General of Switzerland.

FOTOFest Biennial 2020 is landing in Houston, Texas this year with the theme of, African Cosmologies. With over
450 participating artists from 30 countries, there will be events in galleries and corporate venues all over the city. Go to
http://fotofest.org for the complete line up of exhibitions. IF Magazine’s Chief Photographer, Heidi Powell-Prera, is
collaborating with Harambee Art Gallery and Charles Washington in exhibiting work at Global Vision Contemporary
Fine Art Gallery located within the Hilton Post Oak in the Galleria. She is the Co-Curator and a participating artist.
Heidi PP will be exhibiting photos she captured while on an International Trade Development Council mission to
