Reception of New Technologies from the Psycho-Sociological Perspective
The first panel was moderated by Adelina Hetnar the head of the educational projects department of the ICEAH. She was joined by Anna Osiadacz and Orit Margaliot.
Anna Osiadacz is the president of the Koncept Kultura Foundation and director of the Immersion Festival. She is a producer of movies and XR experiences, an experienced culture manager,
and the coordinator of numerous exhibitions, cultural projects, and nationwide educational
and social campaigns in Poland. She promotes cooperation between sectors by combining
the potential of the public, private, and social sectors in her activities.
Orit Margaliot is an experienced art and literature history teacher who worked at Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies for 22 years. She held various positions, including training museum guides as well as those for Poland, developing teaching and guiding materials, and supervising the educational content for the Shoah exhibition in Block 27 at the Auschwitz Memorial. Today, she works as an educational technology entrepreneur, developer,
and independent researcher, cooperating with museums in Poland.
This year’s conference aimed to discuss the integration of new technologies into Holocaust education. However, to address specific solutions, it was essential to consider the target audience. Over the last fifteen to twenty years, as new technologies have rapidly advanced,
the methods of transmitting and receiving content, especially among young people, have changed significantly. The speakers addressed the following questions: What is this change?
How does the younger generation acquire knowledge today?
