Prof. Dr. Sebastian Barsch worked as a special education teacher for several years before becoming a Professor of History Education, first at the University of Kiel and then in
Cologne. He focuses on the professionalization of history teachers and inclusive or diversity-oriented historical learning. One focus of his research is the question of how marginalized groups can gain access to historical culture. Barsch chairs the German Conference on History Didactics and is active in various international projects. He is also co-editor of the blog
www.public-disabilityhistory.org.
Konstanty Gebert is a Polish journalist, a democratic opposition activist in the 1970s, and an underground journalist (pen name: Dawid Warszawski) in the 1980s.
