Over 1,000 modelspecific spoke sets
Leading international spoke set manufacturer Cross Center International in Sweden has told IDN that the company has passed a remarkable landmark in the growth of its inventory. This summer the off-road wheel specialist added its 1,000th model- specific spoke set configuration to its database, and the company hasn ' t stopped there. Founder and owner ' Tobbe ' Bergh told IDN that " we have also now increased the production to smaller diameter spokes and spoke nipples. We have over 80 different kinds of spoke nipples in different spoke sizes, diameters and lengths, in materials such as steel, brass and alloy), with different coatings, including nickel plated, zinc plated and anodized." The new spoke diameters are 2.0, 2.3, 2.6 and 2.9 mm.; this is in addition to the 3.2, 3.6 and 4.0 mm sizes the company has always offered. " With the new smaller spoke diameters, we can make moped spokes and also very old motorcycle spokes in the correct diameters and with the correct size of spoke ' nipples '" said Tobbe.
Manufactured in-house using high-quality Swedish steel and shipped worldwide, in addition to spoke sets for( at least) 57 different brands and more than 5,000 different models, Cross-Center is also a wheel builder, and, through its ' CC Products ' brand, also makes and sells MX and Enduro racing parts. " From a distributor perspective, we are a great business to work with, because we always carry a deep inventory. We are the world ' s ' Rapid Responders ' where the motorcycle wheel industry is concerned. " Since we have all spoke sets in stock we can deliver quickly- which is the kind of service level that distributors and dealers need."
