Honda is said to have " achieved record-high quarterly operating profit and margin in its motorcycle business for the fiscal first quarter ", ended 30 June, " driven by robust global sales." Total Q1 global sales were 5,663,000 units with " strong momentum and volume increases led primarily by India and Brazil, alongside solid contributions across Asia." Unit sales of 117,000 Q1 units were down by 4.1 % in Europe( approx. 5,000 units less than the year ago) and down by approx. 3,000 units in North America( to 139,000). Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India( HMSI) reported retail sales 1.61m units, reflecting a 17 % yoy increase.
Royal Enfield recorded total global sales of 330,427 motorcycles during the first quarter of its 2026-27 fiscal year( April-June 2026) and a cumulative 709,096 units(+ 19.8 %) for the first half of the fiscal year( April-September 2026). Of these domestic Indian sales were 642,021 units(+ 23.1 %) with exports down by-4.8 % at 67,075 units. The company experienced record sales in its 2025 / 2026 fiscal year( ending 31 March 2026), selling a total of 1,238,659 motorcycles(+ 23 %) with 131,316 of those being exports.
Ducati delivered a record 34,976 motorcycles globally in the first half of 2026, marking a + 5 % increase compared to the same period in 2025. The UK saw exceptional growth with a + 31.3 % increase; Spain was + 1.5 %; USA-0.9 %, Germany-4.9 % and Italy-12.7 %.
MIW Filters international expansion continues

" Their construction guarantees a greater air flow compared to common paper filters and can significantly improve the performance of the motorbikes on which they are installed." Being reusable, the new filters were a further step forward that MIW took to create products that respect the environment without sacrificing efficiency. " This new line meets the needs of bestselling motorcycles and is constantly expanding to cover an increasingly complete range of vehicles. At the same time, the consolidated line of washable air filters for Off-Road has spread among the professional and amateur and weekend riding communities." Developed in Shizuoka, Japan( by Meiwa Company ltd) they were conceived for both OEM applications and aftermarket performance use and as OE replacement parts. The MIW brand uses " Multistage Filtration " to ensure the removal of all hazardous particles and impurities from the engine oil. They incorporate an oil pressure stabiliser system, to " provide a smooth flow of cleaner and more refined oil to the engine. The same meticulous detail is given to the quality air filter components. Protection of the engine is guaranteed." The chosen method of filtration in MIW oil filters is resin-impregnated micropore paper. Using a highgrade cotton linter fibre, to give " unparalleled durability during filtration. The cotton linter element composes of fibre strands, with differing thicknesses. With thicker strands on the outer wall of the filter, to catch larger metallic particles and thinner strands making up the inner wall, catching even the smallest particles. " The multi strand microscopic fibres provide superb porosity for oil flow, even after contamination.
