In its 20th anniversary year, Netherlands headquartered Zero Motorcycles has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment of Jarno Middelbosch, who takes over the position of Senior Director of Global Marketing. Jarno began his career in the motorcycle industry, including a stint at Ducati, where he was responsible for marketing in Northern Europe. He then spent over seven years in various management positions at Harley-Davidson in EMEA, the Americas, and APAC. His subsequent roles include Head of Brand at Red Bull, Director of Marketing & Communications Europe at Lucid Motors, and most recently, Marketing Director Europe at Valvoline. Jarno reports to CEO Pierre-Martin Bos.

Members of the German Motorcycle Industry Trade association( IVM, Essen) have elected Joshua Brosius of Ducati as first Vice-President of the IVM. Michael Sommer, BMW Motorrad, is President, with Albert Erlacher, Honda, and André Walek, 2Ride Germany, as second and third Presidents.

The legendary Schwalbe could be poised for a comeback as an electric scooter: Emco E-Roller GmbH, a manufacturer based in the Emsland region of Germany, plans to acquire the license for the E-Schwalbe. This follows the insolvency of the previous producer, Govecs, which recently halted production in Poland. A letter of intent for the license acquisition has been signed, and the plan is to relocate production to Suhl- the historical birthplace of the classic Simson Schwalbe.( B & B).
