Barcelona, Spain based electric motorcycle maker Stark Future has claimed a first FIM SuperEnduro Manufacturers ' World Championship title- representing " a new milestone in FIM off road racing." The FIM SuperEnduro is widely regarded as one of the most demanding disciplines in off-road motorcycle racing and the Stark VARG EX has built an enviable global reputation for its performance, durability and handling.
In the United States, well-known industry leader Frank Tatsuo Miyake has passed away at the age of 83. A longtime executive and aftermarket pioneer, he founded RK Excel America. Born in Los Angeles in 1942, Miyake built a career that spanned decades and left a lasting mark on the U. S. motorcycle aftermarket. In 1977, Miyake left his position with Sudco to launch FTM & Associates, focusing on sourcing, importing and marketing specialty motorcycle brands. Under his leadership, the company built a broad portfolio that included RK Chain, Excel Rims, SBS, Bendix Brakes, Fram-Autolite, ThreeBond, Add-Awn, AFAM Sprockets, Ken Sean Mirrors and Napoleon Mirrors.
Belgium- FEMA reports that the European Parliament has given its final approval to new EU circularity rules covering a vehicle ' s entire lifecycle, from design to end-of-life treatment, by adopting the Regulation on circularity requirements for vehicle design and on management of end-of-life vehicles. " Although there is a lot yet to be discussed, there is a positive message to be recognized already, because the new EU circularity rules recognise that a motorcycle has value throughout its entire life: when it is built, maintained, repaired, reused and eventually recycled. For riders, this means defending the things that matter- such as longer motorcycle lifetimes, repair and maintenance [ as an alternate too replacement ] and that parts and materials have value: a motorcycle is not just waste at the end of its life. This regulation is a framework that can support riders ' interests if implemented sensibly. The political discussion is now in the implementation details to make sure rules designed mainly around cars do not unintentionally harm motorcycles."

Ducati ' s Q1 2026 financial highlights show revenue fell to € 203m( down from € 246m in Q1 2025). Operating profit dropped to € 7m( down from € 15m), and the operating margin reduced from 6.3 % in Q1 2025 to 3.5 % in Q1 2026. The company cited " a highly competitive global market, with geopolitical uncertainties and US tariffs " as negatively affecting their results. In 2025, Ducati reported total global deliveries of 50,895 motorcycles, representing a 7 % decrease from the previous year. Product highlights for this past quarter include the Desmo450 EDS. Designed specifically for Enduro, it is " the only bike in its class to feature Desmodromic valve timing ". It is slated to be arriving in selected European dealerships from July 2026.

In the first quarter of 2026, the Piaggio Group sold 72,300 two-wheelers worldwide( 78,700 were sold in the first quarter of 2025), for net sales of € 249,600m(-12.1 %,-8.3 % at constant exchange rates compared to € 283,900m at 31 March 2025). The figure includes also spares and accessories, on which turnover totalled € 32.3m(€ 35m in the first quarter of 2025). Geographically, India recorded a 15.6 % increase in volumes, while revenue was impacted by unfavourable exchange rates. Markets in the EMEA, Americas and Asia-Pacific regions contracted. In the European market, the Piaggio Group increased its share of the scooter segment to 15.6 %( compared to 15.4 % in the first quarter of 2025), while maintaining a stable 3 % share of the motorcycle segment. With respect to the Group ' s position in the North American scooter market, Piaggio increased its market share from 29.9 % in the first three months of 2025 to 30.7 %. In North America the Group also continued to consolidate its presence on the motorcycle market with the Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands. The Aprilia SR and SR GT models have performed well in the scooter sector. This season marks the start of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Vespa brand, with around 25,000 Vespas parading through the streets of Rome and special editions of the Primavera and the GTS 80th. A dedicated clothing and accessories collection was also unveiled at The Empty Space, the new concept store in Milan. Sales volumes and revenues in the Aprilia motorcycle sector increased, partly driven by the company ' s success in motorsport. Aprilia offers a wide range of motorcycles, from the entrylevel RS 125 to the flagship RSV4. The 457 and 660 models, which are designed for young riders, fall into the intermediate displacement category. There has been a rise in sales of the revamped V7 range at Moto Guzzi, which comprises the V7 Stone, V7 Special and V7 Sport models, as well as the V100 Mandello roadster.
