COMMENT: A difficult year for statistical analysis........................................ 4
The rush to pre-register unsold Euro 5 inventory at the end of 2024 continues to distort the market ' s ability to see its 2025 reflection in the mirror of statistics. The are good reasons why the OEMs had to ' pre-reg ' unsold inventory as the switch to Euro 5 + created specific challenges. However, as we now head towards the year ' s endgame, it is becoming apparent that those are not the only units missing from the 2025 data.

Long-serving Managing Director of the Essen-based IVM( German Motorcycle Industry Association) Reiner Brendicke is retiring. In September Uwe Seitz, former Editor-in-Chief of Motorrad was selected as the new Managing Director of the IVM effective February 1, 2026.
