introduced in Sheffield have left a significant mark on the English FA in the next
twenty years. The rules were distinguished by the lack of a burnt provision. In
the early 1860s, the striving to standardize the rules was so big that on October
26, 1863, 11 clubs from The Football Association - the first organization
managing football games - were established. The conflict concerning charging
and playing with hands led to the appointment in 1871 of the Rugby Football
Union. The roads of rugby and football are gone. the first football was more like
rugby. The same principle of the burnt prevented the game from moving
forward, hence the gate was moved either dribbling or using a mill. The tactics
were significantly influenced by the Scots, developing the game with
applications. Numerous changes in the regulations also affected the game.
Withdrawing the game of brands led to the development of the game head. Over
the next decade, the FA adopted a number of rules from Sheffield, such as free
kick, corner kick, throw from the car or the crossbar. Eventually, the two unions
merged in 1877. The next changes concerned the penal throw, the referees, the
goalkeeper, the penalty area (introduced in 1902), cards (from 1970), and
changes (admitted for the first time in 1958). Modifications of earlier provisions
were also carried out and twice (in 1938 and 1997) the text of the rules was
updated. To manage the rules of the game, in 1886 the International Football
Association (IFAB) was established. The English staying abroad have provoked its
spreading around the world. Thanks to easy basic rules, football was known on
all continents in a short time. The establishment of the International Football
Federation (FIFA) in Paris in 1904, which belongs to IFAB since 1913, and since
1930 has been organizing the World Championships, was of great importance
for the development of the discipline.
