Rhythmic gymnastics - rules
Performances of gymnasts take place in a field with a side of 13 meters, for which
the edges can not go out. They are assessed by several commissions, which
estimate the difficulty of the system, focus on the correctness of the
performance of individual elements, body technique and the technique of using
the utensil, as well as artistic value.
Over the years, the method of scoring in artistic gymnastics has changed - it is
revised every four years. The following rules have been established for the years
2017-2020: the final evaluation of the contestant consists of a score for the
system (max 10 points) and for the performance (max 10 points). The system
should consist of rhythmic steps, jumps, balancing, turns, and the gymnast must
demonstrate the control of the body. In terms of performance, the technique of
making individual evolutions, musicality and aesthetics is assessed.
Artistic gymnastics - arrangements
While presenting the layout of artistic gymnastics, the participant performs a
system with one of the following instruments:
