III.2 Street dance

Okay... let’s star by making things clearer about dance! Dance has a history
and I think we were born to love it. Since we were little children, when we heard
music and beats, out instinct was to move out bodies on it. This thing proves that
dance is a way to express ourselves. Dancing is a way to show others what we
feel ,emotions that we can’t explain in words. Dance is a culture.
The term of ‘street dance’ is about dances that started on the streets like
salsa, traditional dances, hip-hop ,breakdancing, dancehall and other styles. For
example, hip-hop has been formed in South Bronx in New York City in 1972s.
The South Bronx hip hop scene emerged in the mid-1970s from neighborhood
block parties thrown by theGhetto Brothers, a Puerto Rican group that has been
described as being agang, a club, and a music group. Members of the scene
plugged in the amplifiers for their instruments and PA speakers into the lampposts
on 163rd Street and Prospect Avenue and used their live music events to break
down racial barriers between African-Americans, Puerto Ricans, Whites and other
ethnic groups. Jamaican immigrant DJ Kool Here also played a key role in
developing hip hop music. At 1520 Sedwick Avenue, Herc mixed samples of
