RULES OF USAGE
Proof points
Proof points showcase numerical data or short , comparative language ( such as first , best or only ), with text beneath the proof that explains the meaning of the number . Proof points are a valuable way to highlight key points , but it is also important to consider whether this is the best format for a particular piece of information .
• The proof point itself should be written in all caps and must be fewer than eight characters long .
• Write proof point descriptions in sentence case with the first letter of the first word capitalized .
• Use your judgement on how best to showcase data . For example , sometimes it is important to keep a proof point evergreen so that a deliverable does not need updating annually . In that case we might take a number like 215 and say 200 +.
• In proof points , use numerals and note that we always use # before a numeral to reference rankings .
• If you ’ re using a word instead of a numeral , try to use just one word . Proof points are meant to make a quick , meaningful impression , so be discerning regarding what information best utilizes this format .
