Interactive Media: Examples
There are a lot of imteractive elements around us everyday, these can include games we play, things we watch like the TV, and information help desks such as kiosks that we can interact with to obtain more information. This article is going to explore interactive media examples in everyday life.
Information stations are becoming more popular, the ability to interact with the information you're trying to obtain. The interactivity usually comes in the form of touch, in the example above the user is able to touch the map to move it and double tap the map to move in/out. This natually makes accessing information more percievable. Before technology like this the alternative would have been having one huge map (which people may struggle to read and is off putting) or one small map with a lack of information. The functionality allows for large portions of information to be presented in a friendly manner. The buttons at the top also allow the information presentation to be controlled even more by disabling certain icons that are presented on the map, this allows the user to easily narrow down the resultant information which in turn constitutes to easyily obtainable information.
