Rob Newell moves from Salesforce to New Relic as VP Customer Adoption for APJ

New Relic , the observability platform for every engineer , announced appointment of Rob Newell as Vice President of Customer Adoption for Asia Pacific and Japan to oversee the growth of customer success and best practices in observability .

Newell has over two decades of technical leadership experience in the software industry across the Asia Pacific region , including 10 years at Salesforce where he most recently held the position of Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Cloud Sales , ASEAN . He has also held senior roles at software development company , IntraLinks and IT consulting firm , ConnXion .
In the newly created role , Newell will be responsible for leading New Relic ’ s high-performing customer adoption team as they empower businesses with best- practice observability to take a data-driven approach at every stage of the software development lifecycle .
Newell ’ s appointment comes off the back of recent product innovations at the company including CodeStream code-level metrics and service-level telemetry and out-of-the-box GPT-4 monitoring . Ossama Eldeeb moves from VMware to join Cisco as Regional Director Partner Organisation MEA

Cisco announced appointment of Ossama Eldeeb as its new Regional Director for the Partner Organisation in the Middle East and Africa . Ossama is taking over from his predecessor , Abdelilah Nejjari , who was lately appointed as Cisco ’ s Managing Director for the Gulf region .

Based in Dubai , Ossama will be responsible for nurturing and strengthening Cisco ’ s relationship with its growing partner ecosystem throughout the region while working closely with cross-functional teams to build on Cisco ’ s partner-led strategy . In his role , Ossama will oversee the planning and execution of Cisco ’ s go-to-market strategies and innovative models for business growth with the company ’ s partners .
Ossama brings more than 24 years of leadership experience in the technology industry , having held a variety of roles across partner , commercial , and sales , at companies including VMware , Microsoft , and AMD . Most recently , he served as Senior Director of VMware ’ s South EMEA Partner Organisation .
