What is your management philosophy ?
I like to describe the way I work with our
partners as a joint venture or a partnership . We ’ re constantly looking at how we can collaborate to deliver the best practice to our customers . We ’ re an end-to-end security platform solution and we don ’ t take this responsibility lightly as we take the consulting approach . We position ourselves as security experts and we have a great team across the region to help our partners and customers to only achieve the best .
When you look back at your career , what has been the most memorable achievement ?
I ’ m proud of many of my career achievements . I remember at my first job being part of the team that executed the
For at least the next five to 10 years , we ’ re going to see cybersecurity and cloud be the lead talking points . first bill-payment solution over ATMs in the Middle East . I also worked with a team that implemented nationwide security and networking in one of the biggest infrastructure countries in the Middle East . In my current role , we helped the healthcare industry during the COVID-19 pandemic , as well as a couple of great wins within the oil and gas , and government sector .
What made you think of a career in technology ?
In the beginning , my aspirations were far from tech-related jobs . When I finished high school , I wanted to be a pilot and applied to join the Air Force . Meanwhile , I decided also to do my bachelor ’ s degree in computer engineering . This was around 27 years ago , and technology was not as advanced as it is today . It was only when I hit the ground running at the first job that I understood that technology was in my DNA . And 15 years ago , when I started to specialise in cybersecurity , it further cemented my love for all things tech .
What do you think will be the hot technology talking point of 2023 ?
I think not only in 2023 but for at least the next five to 10 years , we ’ re going to see cybersecurity and cloud be the lead talking points . Also , there ’ s more to come on topics like security analytics , robotics , IoT , and Artificial Intelligence , these will take the limelight in the next decade . •
