What makes my job satisfying and challenging simultaneously is to map the right partner and leverage the right partner in cocreating the values for the end user . a partner can leverage our strength to solve business problems .
What is your management philosophy ?
I am a true believer in transparency , and I was glad to learn that this is one of the core tenants in Dragos as well . Transparency helps me to avoid channel conflicts , build trusting relationships with partners and drive sustainable business growth .
When you look back at your career , what has been the most memorable achievement ?
While working with my previous employer , I got an opportunity to work on a Mission Mode Project under the Government of India . This was the biggest change management and digitalisation project for the government .
One of the key tasks of the project was to train 1,800 police personnel on how to use IT systems and to make them proficient in the online application . The audience ’ s demographics were a major barrier as most of them were nearing retirement age . As such , implementation was met with high resistance . Drawing from the diffusion of innovation approach , I tackled the problem and converted the resistance of the senior members into acceptance . I am proud to share that during my tenure as 1,100 personnel were trained successfully .
What made you think of a career in technology ?
On June 23rd 2008 , I joined Computer Science Corporation ( CSC ) within a month of my graduation . I was not sure whether I would enjoy this field of cybersecurity . Within three years with CSC , I developed my foundation and skill sets in cybersecurity . I conducted multiple projects with several clients globally .
While working in cybersecurity , I trained myself to work under pressure and long hours in case of any issues . These attributes and my cybersecurity knowledge helped to shape my career . For the last 15 years , I have continued to be in a learning mode and still love it .
What do you think will be the hot technology talking point of 2021 ?
High-profile incidents over the last 12 to 18 months have made securing critical infrastructure a top priority for governments in the region and around the globe . Any attack on these services could lead to irrevocable harm to operations . As the region ’ s industrial sector plays an increasingly pivotal role in GDP growth , securing ICS / OT environments in the hyperconnected world is more critical than ever . OT / ICS Technology will be on the agenda for many Board meetings .
What are your personal interests , and where do you like to spend most of your time after work ?
My mantra is : “ You don ’ t have to be fast . But you better be fearless .” – Christopher McDougall .
I love to push my body and test my mental strength . Endurance training gives me a place to put away negative energy . While running 26.2 miles , it becomes painful at the end , but once I manage to complete it gives a sense of fulfilment .
I , along with my wife , were fortunate to summit Mt . Kilimanjaro . Completed four full marathons . During the pandemic , I started learning to swim . If my training goes well , I aim to achieve Half Iron Man in 2022 . •
