Acronis names Michael Callahan as chief marketing officer

Acronis , a global provider of cyber protection solutions , has announced the appointment of Michael Callahan as the new chief marketing officer ( CMO ). Callahan joins the team with extensive sales and marketing experience , serving in senior leadership roles at companies such as McAfee , HP and Juniper , and most recently as the senior vice president of global marketing for Cofense .
As Acronis ’ CMO , Callahan will develop Acronis ’ global brand position while increasing awareness of the Cyber Protect Cloud Platform .
“ Michael will build on the past success and push Acronis ’ marketing team to even greater achievements ,” said Patrick Pulvermueller , CEO , Acronis . “ Michael brings more than 20 years of marketing leadership from some of the most well-known companies in the industry and will be instrumental in solidifying Acronis ’ position as a leader in endpoint security .”
Callahan will build on the success from 2021 , including the US $ 250 million investment from CVC Partners in May of last year to further enhance Acronis ’ go-to-market initiatives by expanding its broad partner network of managed service providers ( MSPs ) to keep the momentum going in 2022 .

Aruba gets country manager for UAE
Aruba , a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company , has appointed Zeeshan Hadi to the role of country manager , UAE to drive the company ’ s growth in the market . Hadi will assume responsibility for leading the sales and pre-sales teams as well as planning and executing channel and marketing strategies .
In his new role , Hadi will be responsible for expanding the channel ecosystem and building stronger relationships with global system integrators ( GSIs ). He will also pay a special focus on investing and growing business in Abu Dhabi and engaging more closely with public sector agencies with a view to building value and long-term partnerships within the government segment .
Hadi is an ICT industry veteran with over 17 years of experience in various roles including territory manager , channel manager , sales manager , systems analyst , corporate trainer and software engineer .
Hadi will also pay a special focus on investing and growing business in Abu Dhabi and engaging more closely with public sector agencies with a view to building value and long-term partnerships within the government segment .
