Which countries will be a key focus for emt in 2022 and how are you preparing your reseller partners to serve those markets ?
We have a team dedicated to the entire Middle East , Turkey and Africa ( META ) region . However , for 2022 , we will be focusing even more on UAE , Saudi Arabia , Kuwait , Egypt , and some African countries by adding more resources and opening new in-country offices .
Given that most companies have adopted hybrid work policies , how is emt positioning itself to ensure that businesses in the region continue to use solutions within your stable that support remote working ?
Being a technology solutions provider company , we have been armed to serve all our customers and partners across the regions that emt operates in and that has helped a lot to be able to utilise our global resource based on different time zones and customer urgent requirements .
Aside from the COVID-19 pandemic , what would you cite as the most challenging issue that your company together with your solution provider partners are facing now ?
There are two issues that somehow have been a challenge in this market for many years and those are longer cycles for project finalisation and payments . At emt , we have managed both these two difficult issues quite well by working and concentrating on selective customers and channel partners .
We will continue our focus on IT security solutions like SOAR , CDR , SIEM , vulnerability assessment and management as well as our ICT management solutions .
As a specialist security focused VAD , what IT trends will shape and characterise 2022 ?
This year , we will continue our focus on IT security solutions like SOAR , CDR , SIEM , vulnerability assessment and management as well as our ICT management solutions . In addition , we are also dedicating more resources and focus on critical infrastructure and OT security and management . We believe this focus will be beneficial to our solution provider partners and the vendors we represent .
What new channel programmes and initiatives is Emt planning for its channel partners in the Middle East this year ?
We launched emtCare a couple of years ago to help our channel partners have an advantage over their competition by offering emtCare free services . The programme includes free services , products and training . On the other hand , based on internal corporate changes that we have made at emt group , we will be having some latest updates soon on our channel partner programme and advise resellers to watch the space and wait for these exciting changes that will be unveiled in due course . •
