Having witnessed significant adoption of its cloud aligned solutions that allow customers the ability to move data between cloud service providers as well as natively backup to the cloud as a primary or archive tier , Veeam , a cloud data management solutions company is ramping up its channel activities across Africa to improve support it provides to channel partners . Talk us through Veeam ’ s backup , Disaster Recovery and modern data protection solutions for virtual , physical and multi-cloud infrastructures and how the company is making it easier to access these technologies for channel partners and end-user customers across the African continent ?
Backup alone is no longer a good business practice and Veeam is no longer selling point-based solutions aimed only at backup and recovery tools . Instead , our focus is on offering customers seamless , end-toend solutions for their cloud and modern data protection strategies . In addition to providing industry-leading , reliable , costeffective backup and recovery solutions that are both powerful , but simple to deploy and manage , we have now extended that capability into the Kubernetes environments with the Kasten by Veeam K10 toolsets . Our solutions also talk to SaaS platforms like Office 365 , where we are able to secure One Cloud , SharePoint , Teams and Mailboxes and have the ability to do granular level restores .
We assist customers to optimise their backup landscape with Machine Learning and AI capabilities and extract value from the backups by allowing customers to sandbox their backup environment and utilise the copy of the backup for application development with real-world data .
When it comes to channel programmes , Veeam is constantly looking at ways to support our channel ecosystem and to extract value from all our offerings as they take them to market . Customers are on a journey and Veeam gives them choice and a variety of ways they can ensure they follow
With threats of ransomware being part of the ‘ new normal ’ and very much so in Africa , it ’ s become imperative that customers ensure they have more than just a backup , but that they can recover from any cyberattack .
