ManageEngine now EU data compliant through hosting in Amsterdam and Dublin

ManageEngine , the real-time IT management company , announced the opening of its two new ISO 27001-certified datacentres in the European Union , one in Amsterdam , Netherlands and another in Dublin , Ireland . This announcement is a part of its efforts to help IT teams move operations seamlessly to the cloud while adhering to the data privacy and security standards of the European Union .

With cloud adoption in Europe on a trend of high growth , software vendors are taking steps to protect customer data . To remove security concerns associated with the cloud , the new ManageEngine datacentres are certified Service Organisation Controls SOC
Type II and reinforce the company ’ s efforts to facilitate cloud adoption by IT teams in the European Union .
The company also announced the availability of ServiceDesk Plus , its flagship ITSM product , from its newly commissioned EU datacentres . The service desk app is available in 12 major European languages .
Mobile Device Manager Plus , the company ’ s enterprise mobility management software , will also be accessible from the EU datacentres beginning February 2017 . Mobile Device Manager Plus service will be available in 13 European languages and support iOS , Android and Windows operating systems .

Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic medals . Tokyo 2020 invited the Japanese population to give to the organising committee its discarded or obsolete electronic devices in order to use the metal in the production of the medals that will be awarded to athletes at the Games .
This project highlights Tokyo 2020 ’ s commitments to engage the whole Japanese nation and to offer everyone the opportunity to play a role in the Games ’ preparations . It also responds directly to Recommendation 4 of Olympic Agenda 2020 that states sustainability be integrated into all aspects of the planning and execution of the Games .
Components , total 8,000 kg : Gold : 40 kg , Silver : 4920 kg , Bronze : 2944 kg .
Two partner companies were appointed at a Tokyo 2020 executive board meeting earlier , NTT DOCOMO and Japan Environmental Sanitation Center . From April , collection boxes will be installed in more than 2,400 NTT DOCOMO stores and an undecided number of public offices throughout the country . The collection will end when the 8-ton target is reached .
