Welcome to the latest edition
of Intelligent Tech Channels,
which is my first edition as
editor. I have more than a
decade’s worth of experience
in newspaper and magazine
publishing and I am looking
forward to working with you all to
cover the news, trends and features
in the vendor partner ecosystem.
This edition’s Editor’s Comment
looks at why partnerships in
the cybersecurity industry are so
important. As more companies
undergo Digital Transformation and even
more so during the COVID-19 pandemic,
cyberthreats are increasing. Cyberattacks
continually become more sophisticated
which means solutions need to keep up
with demand. Employers need to make sure
their businesses are protected and they
don’t have to do it alone. An experienced
partner ecosystem can make sure the right
cybersecurity is in place. Two experts give
their take on the issue and explain how
partners can play an important role as no one
vendor can fulfil every security requirement.
The recently appointed EMEA Sales
Director for Aruba, Sherifa Hady, features
on the front cover of this month’s edition.
In her role, Hady oversees the channel
team and works closely with them to build
partnerships with resellers and distributors
across the region, exploring new and existing
opportunities for mutual business growth.
In our interview, Hady talks about how
Aruba is supporting partners and customers
during the current global health crisis and
how important strong partnerships are
during these challenging times. She also
talks about some of the industry trends that
are driving Aruba’s channel strategy.
On the lighter side of things, we get to
know Paul Potgieter, Managing Director
at Dimension Data Middle East; and Brett
Candon, VP EMEA Channel, Exabeam, in the
respective Channel Chief pages.
