James Parker appointed President of
Global Sales by Tata Communications
Tata Communications announced the appointment
of James Parker as President of Global Sales. Parker
is responsible for leading the company’s global sales
organisation across all customer segments.
Parker has an impressive track record in driving
business transformation within the software and
telecommunications industries across both developed
and emerging markets. His leadership career has
spanned sales, commercial and marketing roles in
companies including CenturyLink, Microsoft and IBM. In these roles he has successfully built and
developed high performing leadership teams to deliver profitable growth on a sustainable basis.
James Parker said, “It is a really exciting time to be joining the Tata Communications team. The
exponential growth of connected devices, emergence of social media, analytics, cloud computing
together with widespread BYOD, all play a part in a major transition in the way businesses

Zebra Technologies appoints Tom
Bianculli as Chief Technology Officer
Zebra Technologies announced it has appointed Tom
Bianculli to its newly created Chief Technology Officer
position to advance its leadership in the growing market
of Enterprise Asset Intelligence. The appointment of
Bianculli to CTO is a strategic move to address increasing
demand for visibility solutions and expand the impact of
Zebra’s innovation across industries.
Zebra led the enterprise mobility revolution and
is now poised to lead the enterprise intelligence
revolution as customers embrace the digitisation of
their businesses. Under Bianculli’s leadership, Zebra will further accelerate development of
its innovations in the Enterprise Asset Intelligence category to enhance strategic relationships
with customers and partners. Zebra is helping them master the convergence of key digital
trends including IoT, cloud computing and mobility to sense, analyse and mobilise actions to
optimise operations.
A key contributor to the articulation of Zebra’s Enterprise Asset Intelligence strategy, Bianculli
most recently served as Vice President of Zebra’s Emerging Technology Office. In this role,
Bianculli testified on the topic of wearable technology before the US House of Representatives.
Working across the company, the CTO organisation is assembling the platform components
required to harness the power of data that Zebra’s solutions can enable in Enterprise Asset
Intelligence solutions across verticals.
Bianculli and his team have also been spearheading the development of new, verticalspecific Enterprise Asset Intelligence solutions. One example is the recently launched
Trailer Load Analytics solution in the transportation and logistics industry, which utilises
Zebra sensors and analytics to aggregate data across thousands of dock doors to indicate
the next best action to dock managers in real-time, thereby increasing load efficiency and
asset utilisation.

to Managing Director
West Region
Cisco Middle East announced
appointment of Ziad Salameh as
Managing Director of its West Region.
In his new position, Ziad is responsible
for leading Cisco’s business and
operations in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain,
the Levant and Iraq to capitalise on the
opportunities created by digitisation.
A Cisco veteran in the region,
Ziad will extend efforts to secure
engagements across various industry
sectors, while working closely with
channel partners to provide Cisco’s
customer centric solutions to the public
and private sectors.
Possessing over 24 years of
diversified industry experience and a
wealth of industry knowledge, Ziad has
an impressive track record of success
in people development, innovation
and business transformation. Since
his appointment into Cisco in 2009, he
has leveraged his success in leading
the services business in Saudi Arabia
to later drive operational efficiencies
and innovation for Cisco Middle East’s
services and achieve exceptional
growth across multiple markets.
Ziad’s diversified experience in
ICT includes several key sales and
leadership positions at technology
companies including Hewlett Packard
and Compaq. He has previously led
corporate banking operations at
Standard Chartered Bank.
