Xerox Alamana launches new range of devices
for Kuwait market

In its continuous endeavor to deploy
smarter document solution strategies,
Xerox and Alamana Industries
are launching 29 new printers and
multifunction devices. All 29 devices are
scheduled to be available by the end of
2017 for Kuwaiti customers and
channel partners.
The new range will feature simple
and secure on-the-go capabilities, cloud
connectivity, and access to productivity
boosting features and apps. The launch,
the largest in the company’s history, will
address growing demand in technological
advancements across multiple industry
verticals, including healthcare, real estate,
education, retail and many others.
“We constantly focus on increasing
customer productivity, efficiency and
innovative approach towards how work is
being done. At this historical launch, we
are introducing a family of products in a
variety of sizes, speeds and capabilities
to match the needs of small-and-
medium-sized businesses as well as large
enterprises,” said Ayman Mattar, General
Manager of Alamana Industries.

The new ConnectKey portfolio
transforms traditional printing devices
into smart, connected workplace assistants
that reflect the evolving needs of today’s
businesses. Personalised workflows,
one-touch access to the cloud and multi-
layered security features are the new
print, copy and fax. The new products
will be identified as the Xerox VersaLink
and Xerox AltaLink series. The VersaLink
devices are designed for small workgroups
and distributed teams and include 19
printers and multifunction printers. The
AltaLink series includes 10 MFPs designed
for larger workgroups or print volume
needs. Alamana Industries is a distributor
of Xerox products in Kuwait for 26 years.
Canon partners with Tecom
to announce launch of UAE
innovation centre
Canon Middle East, in partnership with Dubai Internet City,
unveiled its first Innovation Centre in the Middle East in Dubai.
The Innovation Centre is an evolved showroom concept, and
Canon has chosen the UAE to develop the centre to its full
potential and establish it as a model for showrooms of the future.
The Innovation Centre is part of Canon’s strategy of working
closely with its customers. It provides businesses and other
entities with a live demonstration of all of Canon’s latest hardware
and software technologies. Canon’s full range of business
solutions are on display and can be tested as they would in any
office or warehouse environment. It will also assist in offering a
manageable system while assuring cost saving, added security,
and opening new communications scenarios for end-consumers.
“This is Canon’s first Innovation Centre in the region, and
Dubai is the ideal city to host this evolved showroom. The UAE is
leading the drive for technology, innovation and smart cities, and
our Innovation Centre is in line with the government’s vision,”

A noteworthy feature of the Innovation Centre is the
Interactive Projection room, which transforms into a near
virtual reality experience as a result of eight 4D Canon projectors
covering every angle. Another key aspect of the facility are the
Augmented Reality services, which offer video services and
customisation of communication using variable data to meet the
needs of the digital world and communication.
