energy analytics platform at its global
headquarters and manufacturing facilities
in Watertown, Conn, US. In conjunction
with local utility Eversource, Siemon
deployed the RTIS® analytics platform
from Artis Energy Intelligence, which
delivers real-time visibility and insight into
energy use to help meet its world-class
sustainability goals.
Siemon has long been committed

policies and conservation. As the greenest
cabling manufacturer in the industry
with an ISO 14001:2015 environmental
management certification and 179 per
cent negative carbon footprint across all
global operations, the deployment of the
RTIS® energy analytics platform expands
Siemon’s environmental commitment by
identifying operational improvements and
opportunities to further reduce energy
consumption.
In 2014, we added a building
automation system to our manufacturing
facilities, and from that we determined
where our power loads were going. The
Artis Energy analytics system is the missing
link that allows us to take this one step
further, allowing us to see real-time usage
for specific equipment and determine
exactly why, where and how much power is

being used at any given moment.

expensive peak times to further save
money. Our initial analysis has indicated
that there is an opportunity for Siemon to
save approximately 14 per cent on its total
estimated annual electric costs.”
