Exasol becomes carbon neutral with Planetly
Exasol , a high-performance analytics database , has announced that it has partnered with Planetly , a technology start-up on a mission to help build a carbon neutral economy , as part of Exasol ’ s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality and reducing the impact of its operations on the environment .
In the first few months of the partnership , Exasol has already been certified as carbon neutral for 2019 , meaning the company offset 100 % of the carbon dioxide emissions ( CO₂ ) for all operations that year . Exasol is already working on achieving carbon neutrality for 2020 , as well as reviewing practices , processes and policies for the company globally to reduce emissions across the board .
Exasol now officially supports three high-quality carbon offsetting projects located in Borneo , Peru and Cambodia , all of which have been certified by the Gold Standard or the VCS Standard and contribute to different UN Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ).

Cisco has published its 2021 SMB Security Outcomes Study , a derivative of Cisco ’ s flagship cybersecurity report , 2021 Security Outcomes Study , highlighting what SMB leaders are doing to thrive in today ’ s ever-evolving threat landscape , as well as offering actionable insights on where they should focus their digitisation , security planning and cyberdefence efforts .
The double-blind study is based on a survey of over 850 regional IT and security professionals from small and midsize organisations in 25 countries from the Europe , Middle East , Africa and Russia . The report examines how security leaders in SMBs organisations can achieve success in their cybersecurity programmes by looking at which specific practices help to enable their businesses , combat advanced threats and targeted attacks , and operate efficiently .
