Start-up , Glovo , chooses digital voice solutions from Orange Business Services to help expand customer experience globally
Delivery service start-up , Glovo , headquartered in Barcelona , Spain , has engaged Orange Business Services to support its global expansion plans with a wide range of contact centre and telephony services .
Initially launched in a few Spanish cities , Glovo has rapidly expanded after successful results . Glovo currently operates in 20 countries in Europe and Africa . The start-up promises to give everyone easy access to anything in their city , from take-away meals and groceries to medicines , delivered within 30 minutes of ordering via its mobile app .
To help the start-up ’ s launch platform scale for international operations and continued growth , Glovo chose 100 % cloud-based digital voice services from Orange . Glovo can now easily deploy telephony services worldwide and ensure call quality , while addressing local requirements for any given country .
Orange Business Services manages Glovo ’ s international call collection for merchants and customer support through Contact Centre Access .
British workers have picked up at least two new career driven rituals during lockdown
A new study by Hitachi Capital Business Finance of 1,500 British workers in small businesses revealed that 74 % have developed new rituals during lockdown , with the average worker picking up at least two new habits .
The most common habit was spending significantly more time developing their online professional network ( 30 %). This was followed by attending more online conferences and seminars than they had previously ( 27 %).
Over a quarter had made use of the time by actively studying – be it through reading business books ( 27 %) or further learning courses ( 26 %). One in five ( 22 %) had spent more time mentoring young people than they had previous to the pandemic .
Similarly , almost a quarter spent more time reading trade magazines and websites ( 23 %) or listening to industry relevant podcasts ( 22 %). A further 19 % had actively written articles for industry press or their own blogs .
While 19 % said they were able to start a side business during lockdown .

This investment round will aid NanoLock in accelerating its global developments of device-level cybersecurity solutions and further the company ’ s penetration into utilities , industrial and critical infrastructure markets .
