Nineteen Group launches two new and expanded cybersecurity events for 2021
Nineteen Group has announced the launch of two significant cyber events that will take place in September 2021 – International Cyber Expo ( ICE ) and the National Cyber Security Show ( NCSS ).
With the physical and cybersecurity world intertwining more than ever , the two events will cover the entire spectrum of the cybersecurity industry . NCSS will explore the essentials of cybersecurity delivering practical advice and suitable solutions for business owners , while ICE will delve into international cyber intelligence and large-scale hacks with CISOs , government officials and policy makers .
With one small business in the UK successfully hacked every 19 seconds , NCSS will help SMEs gain a better understanding of the threats .
They will also be able to review the testing and software solutions that can protect their businesses at the NEC in Birmingham on 7 – 9 September , colocated with The Security Event ( TSE ).
Running from 28 – 29 September at Olympia , London , alongside the highly acclaimed International Security Expo ( ISE ), ICE will focus on the latest cybersecurity trends and policies .
Building completion heralds new era of cyber innovation in the Midlands
Construction is now complete on the £ 9 million state-of-theart Cyber Quarter – Midlands Centre for Cyber Security with the building officially handed over by contractor , Speller Metcalfe . When the new centre officially opens in spring 2021 on Skylon Park , Hereford Enterprise Zone , Herefordshire will be home to a leading UK centre of excellence in cybersecurity , supporting innovation and industry in this growing sector .
Cyber Quarter – Midlands Centre for Cyber Security will offer a package of tailored security testing , training , Research & Development and sector expertise to businesses and investors .
Supported by the University of Wolverhampton ’ s Cyber Research Institute ( WCRI ), the centre will also be home to 16 cyber SMEs as well as offering product testing and certification , CPD and short courses and cyber conferences like the recent Cyber Fringe Festival attracting experts from across the globe .
The 2,000 square metre building will provide significant resources for research and development across three cyber laboratories , advanced training facilities as part of the University ’ s Wolverhampton Cyber Research Institute and additional business space for up to 16 cyber companies .
